Beginning with literally only a baker, and a table found at a thrift shop, @bakerandtablecafe has now turned into a dream come true for owner and pastry chef Hitomi. Since starting her pastry education in 2007, Hitomi has led a very successful pastry chef career and worked in the kitchen at many amazing companies. Eager to demonstrate her expertise in her craft, Hitomi has also participated in many prestigious pastry competitions through the years, and has been able to share her knowledge by teaching students at Vancouver Community College. ⁠

In 2017, Hitomi decided she was ready for her next challenge, and opened her own pastry shop, and Baker and Table cafe was created.⁠

Serving a selection of adorable Japanese speciality character buns and pastries, Baker and Table’s mission is to create a sense of belonging through sharing great food with the people you care most about.⁠

Since she was young, Jessica, founder of Perching Clay Art’s main creative outlets were drawing and painting. It was not until 2015 that polymer clay was introduced to her, and she soon fell in love with the craft. Beginning as a hobby, and quickly turning into a passion for Jessica, she wanted to share her pieces with the world, and Perching Clay Art was then developed. ⁠⁠

Jessica creates wearable and decorative art using polymer clay, without the involvement of paint or ink. Images and patterns are achieved by rolling, manipulating, and slicing layers of different coloured clay, and paint is then only used to accentuate textures that are etched freely by hand.⁠⁠

With each design including an element of fantasy, Perching Clay Art pieces are one-of-a-kind and can tell many stories 💫⁠⁠
